What is the Refund Policy?

The American Quarter Horse Foundation recognizes that a variety of unforeseen circumstances may impact our guests’ ability to attend the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Induction and Reunion Celebration September 12-13 in Amarillo. Due to non-refundable pre-paid hotel and catering expenses incurred by the Foundation, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations and no-shows.

 

What are the Museum hours during the event weekend?

Friday September 12, 2025, Museum hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Saturday September 13, 2025, Museum hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

What is the attire for the event?

Friday Evening Attire - Western party.

Saturday Evening Banquet Attire - Semi-formal. 

 

Are children allowed?

Thank you for your interest in the event! While children are welcome, please note that some of the activities are quite long and may not be engaging or comfortable for younger attendees. To help you decide, we recommend considering your child's attention span and comfort level for such events.

If you decide to attend as a family, feel free to bring along quiet activities, snacks, or items that can keep your child entertained during longer sessions.

 

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?

Infants who will be sitting on a parent's lap do not require a separate ticket. However, if a seat is needed for the child, an individual ticket must be purchased.

 

Where is the event?

Dedication and Reception night will take place at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum located at 2601 E I-40, Amarillo, TX 79104.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will take place at the Embassy Suites Amarillo Downtown located at 550 South Buchanan St., Amarillo. TX 79101.

 

How far is the museum from the hotel?

The hotel is approximately 3 miles away, a 6-minute drive from the museum.  

 

Is there transportation available?

There is no shuttle from the airport to the Embassy Suites Hotel, nor from the hotel to the museum. However, traditional taxi services and rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft are available in Amarillo. 

 

Is there a charge for parking at the Embassy Hotel?

Parking is free for hotel guests. There is a $12/day fee for non-hotel guests.
